Long-distance moves involve additional coordination: route planning, weight-based pricing, interstate regulations, and a longer window between pickup and delivery. These moves are governed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, which sets out your rights as a customer and what a licensed carrier is required to provide.
